Major Players seek a senior User Experience (UX) Research Director to join one of today's most profitable tech start/scale ups.

The Client
The client is a leading online tech start up within the travel industry who are going through a period of hyper growth due to ongoing success. They have over 30m online users every month and the app is looking to follow suit. They have over 10 offices internationally, working closely and collaboratively through video conferencing. They pride themselves on having a strictly no ego policy and working very collaboratively. The CEO is approachable and always keen to hear new ideas. They have recently received additional investment and in turn are growing out multiple functions across the business.

The Role
They are seeking a highly experienced User Experience (UX) Researcher to build the UX research team from the ground up, spanning qualitative, quantitative but predominantly UX research. You will be highlighting any problem areas with the website and app to assist the product and design teams make corrections, and will also be working to proactively highlight areas of opportunity, and outline wider strategic decisions. You will be responsible for shaping the department and the roles in line with business strategy, consulting and advising on what the wider strategy should look like. You will be the trusted professional with expertise in setting up research functions and have free reign on shaping this business function, advocating its value in ongoing business growth to the wider business. Two growth areas of focus will be developing the app and the partnerships.

The Candidate
You will be a UX Research specialist and will have experience setting up or vastly growing a UX Research team. You will have worked in a similar tech scale up environment where user base and internal company size has grown rapidly, and have demonstrable experience of being agile and altering business strategy accordingly as you go. You will be adept on both qualitative and quantitative methodology and know how to best identify issues and highlight areas of opportunity. You will be a strong manager, strategic and innovative in your approach. Experience working within the travel sector would be desirable but not essential. Please note this role does not entail any UX Design, only candidates that are UX Researchers by trade will be considered.
