A global insurance brokerage and risk management firm specialising in providing innovative, personal solutions to a wide variety of commercial and private clients with large, complex or delicate risks and specialised insurance needs. The role sits within their specialist Entertainment division which provides products from multi-million pound tours to policies for artists/bands such as Elton John and Lady Gaga, festivals such as Glastonbury to theatre productions and films, together with a wide range of tailor made insurance products to individuals, businesses and associations.


The Sales Leader role is a new position created in the UK Entertainment business due to continued success and to facilitate future growth. The objective is to bring together and drive a common sales strategy, structure and plan for a large sales team based across various offices. The role will be targeted on driving performance, operational efficiencies, cross-selling, conversion, training and development. The team are a mix of face to face and telephone based sales people managing a wide range of products from single person cover to a whole event. You will be also be expected to help win business and support on pitches. This is an opportunity to grow and invest in a team to help achieve the longer term ambition to double revenue.


To be considered for the UK Sales Leader role you will need to have current experience working for a broker selling specialist insurance products due to the complexities of the entertainment sector and client requirements. Due to the range of experience and specialism in the team, you must have a proven track record gained in a large brokerage and have led sizable sales teams, be comfortable in setting structure, getting buy-in and driving operational performance. You will have demonstrable experience of putting together a sales strategy and delivering on yearly plans. Ideally you will have helped integrate and unify teams and cultures within a range of acquired business all with their own unique character. The role will be tasked with driving sales performance and setting structure but there will also be an expectation to win business and support the wider team on any pitches. Experience of selling large value products is therefore highly desirable. This new role offers the opportunity to come in a new structure to help unify and take the business forward and challenge to become the market leader.
