Salary £30000.00 - £40000.00 per annum + Benefits Sector FMCG, Retail

We are working with the nation's largest online grocer who are revolutionising the way people shop for food and they are looking for a Customer Insight Analyst to join the Insight Team based in Hertfordshire. The aim of the role is to understand the customer and with retail changing so quickly, this company have pledged to put the customer first. Understanding what they need means successful innovation and growth in an industry that is changing on a weekly basis.

The role is to look at the huge wealth of data on offer to them as an organisation and help build a story of consumer behaviour and purchasing decisions and everything around that. This can be shorter tactical pieces of working with stakeholders to make key purchasing and marketing decisions daily to longer term projects to increase revenue. They are looking to help automate and build dashboard for reporting in the short term. In the longer term, projects can be looking at the ranges, prices and promotion and trying to encourage different behaviours. Could consumers be encouraged to eat more healthily? What strategies could be looked at to do that? The role involves extracting, manipulating and analysing data to make critical recommendations.

Because of the way they work, they're very data and insight focused as an organisation as well as technology driven, constantly looking for new solutions. This means that the role will have significant impact on the organisation rather than simply being a bit part in a larger organisation with little impact.

They are looking for analysts who can become experts in their field to produce great insight. They run regular training and improvement to help you grow in your career and learn new software and analysis techniques.

Key skills that you'll need are

  • Numerate and analytical thinkers
  • People that are interested in data and building a story from it
  • Good commercial thinker that wants to make their mark
  • Knowledge of SQL and also preferably Tableau
  • 2:1 degree or above in numerate or technical degree
