Responsible for managing the marketing for a range of in-house products, you'll be given free-rein to identify where your time will be best used and where you should concentrate your marketing efforts, based upon the intuitive insights you bring into the company from independent analysis and research.
Always eager to step up and take the lead in the workplace? This will be a perfect fit. You'll be deciding the direction of your area, setting targets to make the most of opportunities you'll uncover. You'll be developing strategies and additionally executing them, as you'll take the lead from the first stages of marketing and competitor research, to the eventual analysis of marketing data.
Working closely with sales and technical teams, a background in technology will benefit you, as you work both strategically and get hands-on with marketing activities, also having the opportunities to run webinars and work with the outbound marketing team on media placements and search campaigns.
Got a knack with words? You'll get stuck-in with both writing and promoting content like blog posts and case studies, working with leading influencers to spread your messages and collaborating with the rest of your department to secure vital PR placements. You'll need to be engaging with good interpersonal skills as you'll also communicate with development teams to influence product direction and take new products to market.
A positive can-do attitude and lots of self-motivation will ensure that you're set to succeed, along with a broad marketing background and product marketing experience within the technical sector. Enthusiastic about the commercial side of things? Even better, as this enthusiasm will support you in project managing and keeping organised to meet your targets and set goals.
A degree in Business or Management or a related discipline is necessary, but personality also counts for a lot in this role. If you've got a big personality to match the big responsibilities that come with this role, you're sounding like a good match!
