Story and content lead, shaping and delivering a fresh strategy for a world-class consultancy.

A world-class firm of architects, engineers and management consultants would like to better articulate their stories of good practice, client work and workplace culture to drive website traffic as well as the cohesiveness of, and collaboration between, their global teams.

In this role you would take the lead on generation of all marketing content to support global campaigns, and be responsible for developing the strategy to shift the business from passive thought leadership to a more action-based model through these stories.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Development of content marketing, taking full responsibility for creation of content with ownership for strategy, planning and execution

  • Work with core stakeholders across the business to maintain a continuing dialogue about market issues and client needs, and develop this into a strategic content roadmap

  • Build relationships internally to align the content calendar and editorial needs of the business

  • Take a strategic approach to creating cross-channel continuity, building relationships with the different stakeholders to leverage every single piece of content, and own it at a group level

  • Understand regional content strategies and help drive efficiencies through aligned content creation and implementatio

  • Work closely with the Web Manager to ensure that all campaigns are driving the best use of the web platform, and with the Social Media Manager to identify opportunities across all social platforms

  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders, identifying their objectives and proposing the best way to meet these through campaigns/content

  • Manage the implementation, tracking and reporting of key metrics against targets

  • Work with internal stakeholders and champion content quality and ensure standards are adhered to

  • Responsibility for the day to day management of relevant marketing agency

Skills and Experience:

  • Marketing content or journalism background (agency or client-side), with demonstrable multi channel marketing campaign management and delivery skills

  • Proven knowledge and experience in delivering content and other communications across platforms (print, events, digital, video, web, CMS and social media platforms)

  • Excellent ability to translate technical information into clear, benefits-led value propositions and explanations

  • Strong communicator (written and verbal) delivering hands on skills in copywriting, web technologies, storyboarding, design and implementation of the brand with attention to detail

  • Proven SEO management and improvement
