The Social Media Manager is the editorial lead for BBC Three’s social media accounts, and is accountable to the Executive Editor and other key account stakeholders across M&A, Content and Production for the performance of those accounts.
This role will lead on delivering a coherent, consistent social media experience for our audiences, working closely with the Social Media Coordinator, Executive and other social and digital roles to ensure each account delivers on the agreed social strategy, maximises engaged reach with the account's target audiences, delivers content of the highest creative quality, and drives traffic. This role will work closely with other social, M&A, Content and Production roles, and other relevant BBC and external teams, to maximise the impact of our social accounts.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have previous evidence of having run successful social media campaigns and accounts, either from scratch or inherited. You will have a strong project management and budget management skills within a social media environment. You will also have experience of developing relationships with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
In addition, you will have strong copywriting and graphic design skills with a proven ability to being able to work across different social media platforms and with software such as Final Cut Pro and Photoshop. You will also have an impressive record of creative achievement and driving creative innovation from team members within a digital space.
