I am working with a large retailer in the search for a Social Media and Content Manager. This individual will be the leader of all social content, and will be the voice of the brand.
Job purpose
- Create and execute compelling, relevant and attractive content across all platforms
- Improve the brands presence on social media to engage new audiences
- Listen and responding to relevant comments
- Provide timely and accurate feedback to drive brand awareness and sales
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a social media strategy, including tone of voice and visual identity as well as identifying key KPI’s to increase reach, engagement and sales
- Co-ordinate, build and implement the brand content calendar all social platforms,
blogs and other channels – in line with overall trading and customer plans
- Manage and execute all day to day activity generating, editing and publishing
sharable, relevant and engaging content across all platforms tailoring and adapting
messaging to drive maximum exposure
- Develop and implement an influencer programme to support brand messaging,
driving awareness and engagement across both new and engaged audiences
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor
customer reviews, providing necessary updates and escalations
- Monitor, track and report performance across all social media platforms
- Identify and implement new platforms to grow the brands social reach and relevance
for customers
- Work with trading teams to form strong relationships with suppliers to capitalise on
content, creating and providing expertise and recommendations to increase revenue
- Develop local and regional store marketing initiatives
- Work with PR team to drive key messages to external partners, newspapers etc to drive the maximum brand exposure
- Budget for social media channels and content creation

- Enthusiastic team player
- Passionate about social media and content, whilst balancing strong analytical understanding and creativity
- Excellent knowledge of all social channels and understands and can implement best practices
- Understanding of paid social advertising
- A self-starter not afraid to challenge, and can work pragmatically with
cross-functional across the whole organisation
- Embraces and supports change, adapting quickly and used to juggling multiple
projects simultaneously
- Experienced and comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- Experience of working across social media platforms and content creation ideally
from a retailer/FMCG brand or agency
