Senior Product Manager - Pensions

£50,000 per annum plus benefits

East Sussex (4 days office based - 1 from home)

A leading brand in the insurance and investments business is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager - Pensions to ensure product structures, processes and communications are appropriate for new and existing customers.

Working within a wider team of over 500, you will work within the pensions division, who process customer queries, update information and process claims.

As a Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for pension product reviews and regulatory changes, assess performance through MI from customers, and will perform in a busy technical role with a substantial workload.

The successful candidate will be familiar with an agile working environment and be responsible for systems, operations and some product development responsibilities.

The role:

-Managing the delivery of all product initiatives in line with product life-cycle management process and policies.

-Managing, motivating and developing one or more product managers ensuring a structured framework.

-Seek out management information to identify product or process failures and how to adjust these, and ensure that the design and operation, literature and sales processes are correctly maintained.

-Managing and driving through changes to product and pricing structure to ensure products remain competitive within target market for both new and prospective customers.

-Complying with industry regulations and regulatory change.

-Mitigating potential operational risks to which the business might be exposed.

About you:

-Strong leadership qualities with the ability to make decisions on key pieces of work.

-A goo knowledge of products and regulations who can take on board the technical elements of product management.

-A strong understanding of pension products, e.g. stakeholder pensions or self-invested personal pensions.

-A good understanding of life and pension product markets.

-A recognised financial services qualification is desirable.

-A sound knowledge of pensions - this is a senior level role which requires gravitas in this area.

-Experience in product reviews and control cycles is key, with the ability to assess products and performance.

-A fundamental knowledge of regulatory requirements in pensions is key.

-An ability to hit the ground running and grasp new concepts/processes.
