With experience of working in a sales, marketing or business development role in a hospitality or related environment, candidates for this Sales and Marketing Executive role should have experience of creating awareness and closing contracts for the use of facilities and events space to a variety of businesses. This is a consultative marketing and sales role, where you will be creating your own opportunities and enquiries via digital marketing and networking, but also closing your own deals with new suppliers. You should be able to bring to the table proven influencing and sales skills and back them up with the ability to produce proposals and quotes in a timely and accurate manner.
Working to promote a group of venues you will operate in both b2b and b2c markets. Prowess at leveraging social media is viewed as a real plus for this role, as is experience of negotiating contracts with various factors in mind.
There will be call for out of hours work as well as the need to showcase the organisation at events both internally and externally, although time in lieu will be given for any time spent in this way. The business appreciates the importance of work-life balance, so there is a degree of flexibility on offer for the Sales and Marketing Executive.
Whilst a candidate from a hospitality or related sector would be ideally, any candidates with a strong mix of proven sales and marketing experience and knowledge of events could be considered for the role. Due to their location, this position will be commutable from Cambridge, Bedford, St Neots, Luton, Milton Keynes, Huntingdon, St Ives, Stevenage, Letchworth, Cambourne , Hitchin and Northampton.
