Job Description

Our client is one of the most innovative and forward-thinking charities in the UK and they are on the lookout for a talented Senior Researcher to join the team.

This charity is doing some truly ground-breaking work and each year reaches millions of people across the country, and in the process works with every local authority throughout England, Northern Ireland and Wales. It's a great time to join as they are developing a new strategy and approach to engaging with and understanding their beneficiaries.
With the research team growing they are now looking for a Senior Researcher to join their talented team to help shape and deliver a varied research and evaluation programme. You will be working collaboratively with various internal teams, including the innovation, operations and communications teams, to help put research at the heart of what they do.

In this role you will be managing a portfolio of research projects and designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research programmes, from early design stages through to analysis and communicating research lessons. Some of the exciting things you'll be working on over the coming year includes commissioning large scale national surveys, running focus groups with disadvantaged groups, evaluations of programmes for vulnerable groups, horizon scanning and stakeholder engagement activities.
In order to be successful in the role you will have strong qualitative research skills, with an appreciation of quantitative research, even if it's just leading mixed methodology research projects. It is important that you have great focus group moderation skills, ideally having moderated disadvantaged groups previously. In addition, you will be engaging, a strong communicator and passionate about social research. You must either have research experience from another charity, NGO or research agency environment in order to be considered for the position.

This charity offers a fantastic working culture, including a collaborative and friendly working environment, flexible working hours, personal budget for training, and much more. Please do get in touch if you'd like to find out more.
