Job Description

My client, a successful, global telecoms business, currently expanding across European markets is looking for an experienced Public Relations Manager. The ideal candidate will be an experienced public relations strategist with strong press contacts and exceptional written and verbal communications skills. This in an excellent opportunity for an innovative, forward thinking storyteller looking to join a truly exceptional company, at an exciting time of growth.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Full accountability for communications strategy, product and project focused to increase brand awareness in the UK market
  • Creation of press releases, pitches, fact sheets and Q&As
  • Working alongside leadership team, product marketing and product leads
  • Implementation of the media relations strategy, developing existing media relations and generating new contacts
  • Maintaining direct contact with the public, media and varied range of businesses
  • Working closely with the content manager to source stories for the blog
  • Acting at all times as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistency of key media coverage
  • Dealing with media enquiries and interview requests
  • Setting up and organizing PR events
  • Management of the external PR agencies

Main requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years PR experience, agency or in-house
  • Proven record of producing successful public relations campaigns, both locally and internationally, including managing external PR agencies
  • Experience in media relations with international network
  • Experience in working as a company spokesman
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to work independently, prioritize and multi-task
  • Social media experience
  • Strong relationships with local and international media outlets
  • Creative and collaborative way of working
