Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.
About the role
At Alzheimer’s Society, we are more than the sum of what we do. We are also what people feel, believe and know us to be – and that’s why we are passionately committed to communicating effectively with our supporters, the wider public and policy makers to build a dementia movement that inspires people to unite with us and be part of a social movement for change.
Have you got what it takes to build on our success so far? Then we can promise you a stimulating and varied role in an award winning team, specialising in policy and research. The successful candidate will work in our busy national office in central London, helping to build a high and positive media profile for the Society. You will play a vital part in positioning Alzheimer’s Society as the leading dementia charity in the UK. You will devise and execute creative, integrated campaigns that advocate the rights of people with dementia, change public policy and galvanise individuals to join with us as part of a social movement for change. Your campaigns will also better ensure Alzheimer’s Society is known for funding research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia.
You will possess a great news sense and a flair for placing stories. You must have experience of working with the national media, an understanding of the political landscape, excellent communication skills, the ability to plan and the desire to work in a fast-paced team committed to making a difference.
