Mintec, the leading soft commodities and food raw materials price analytics company, is seeking a Marketing Manager. In an $8 trillion annual market for agricultural commodities and food, Mintec occupies a unique position as data provider to many of the world’s top food manufacturers and retailers. These companies rely on our unparalleled pricing data to help their procurement professionals purchase raw materials smartly and improve their companies’ profitability.

Mintec is poised for rapid growth serving this huge and burgeoning global market and needs an energetic and creative Marketing Manager to support its commercial operations. As Marketing Manager you will take responsibility for developing and implementing the marketing strategy for its data platform and services which supply critical price intelligence and analytical tools to companies in the international food and FMCG value chain.

Key objectives:

  • Support the sales team to meet all monthly and annual revenue targets. Manage marketing costs in line with the budget set by the Board
  • Generate a steady stream of MQLs for the sales team through trials, content marketing and social media
  • Work closely with the sales and client success teams on all aspects of client retention
  • Develop communication programmes for new client on-boarding, retention and renewal
  • Develop and execute the go-to market strategy for Mintec’s new product launches
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop campaigns targeting new geographical markets and clients
  • Communicate the Mintec licensing model to current and prospective clients in order to support the sales team
  • Raise brand awareness and product knowledge amongst key companies in the non-traded food value chain
  • Undertake competitive research and use that information to better position Mintec’s products to the market
  • Analyse client usage data to feed back to the product development team and help improve opportunities for improved client communication around features and content
  • Work with the commodity intelligence team to gain exposure to the media for Mintec’s brand, data and products

   Responsible for:

  • Responsible for all marketing activities, online, offline, including PR and events
  • Work with the sales team to ensure all activity is co-ordinated with marketing including new sales, retention of existing clients and key accounts
  • Work closely with the commodity intelligence team to encourage lead generation and generate content targeted to priority client segments via social media and PR
  • Develop systems and processes to maximise first time & subsequent renewal rates

Skills and experience:

  • 3 – 4 years’ proven experience of delivering growth through marketing in B2B information subscription businesses
  • Experience managing a marketing budget
  • Collecting and leveraging client, market and competitive intelligence
  • Energetic, creative and collaborative mind-set
  • Excellent time management, process driven with the ability to set priorities
  • Knowledge of commodities and/or food industry would be an advantage
