Marketing Manager Job

The Marketing Manager will implement the go-to-market strategy across the service lines. Experience of marketing strategy, planning and implementation is essential, together with an appreciation of the complex matrices of professional services organisations.  Experience  of creating innovative, integrated marketing campaigns which can add to the value CBRE brings throughout each client journey is important.
Success in this role rests on the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships. First, by providing excellent account management skills and secondly by understanding the role marketing plays within the business. Imagination is required to contribute to the creation of marketing campaigns that support the business development agenda.


CBRE’s go-to-market strategy is to continue to develop an issues/solutions-led approach, as the firm seeks to provide its clients with insight around major issues affecting their businesses and the support to solve them.   Marketing plays a crucial role in this by instigating and managing end-to-end campaigns that start in the media and digital space with brand building around key issues, through to developing relevant and timely content for relationship building in the boardroom which result in generating profitable and sustainable revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build close relationships with all service line  contacts, to become a trusted partner able to contribute to service line strategy using excellent industry and competitor knowledge
• Implement clear positioning for each service line
• Personify excellence in account management skills, ensuring each stakeholder interaction is first class and beyond expectation
• Demonstrate excellent briefing and response skills at all time
• Execute all tactics efficiently and with an eye for detail and continuous improvement

Marketing Strategy & Planning

• Execute an annual programme of service line-specific client campaigns from a single marketing and communications plan to assist the service line teams hold relevant and timely conversations with clients, targets, referrers and strategic partners, to deepen relationships and grow the business
• Work with the Marketing Director  to identify exceptional client outcomes to which Marketing content and channel contact points can contribute
• Implement integrated Marketing campaigns which translate client objectives into Marketing tactics
• Deploy insight, industry knowledge, business understanding and the results of previous activity to refine recommendations to the business
• Ensure all Marketing campaigns add value at each stage of the client journey and reinforce CBRE’s brand, sector and service line expertise


• Accountability for brand and positioning communications including all visual identity, adherence and consistency, key messaging, creative expression, tone of voice, imagery and other expressions that develop brands and build equity


• Display a comprehensive understanding of the opportunity afforded by social and digital channels, including web presence, quality content optimised for SEO and client journeys
• Integrate digital into all campaigns, working to identify opportunities where digital can replace other tactics

Campaign Management

• Execute a commercially focused, value-adding programme of integrated marketing campaigns, working closely with the Central Marketing Functions to raise profile and deliver revenue, while presenting a united and efficient marketing service to the business
• Work collaboratively with the client team to identify relevant and timely client-issues to support the creation of innovative marketing campaigns, to share knowledge and best practice and to plan differential investment for key clients


• Ensure that the implementation of all activity is co-ordinated efficiently and to a consistent standard

Communication – Internal & External

• Ensure that internal communications are aligned to Marketing Plans
• Align PR activity to Marketing Plans
• Promote the importance and capabilities of the Marketing function to internal clients and stakeholders and act as an ambassador for the function internally and externally

Skills and Competencies


• Marketing expert with multi-channel marketing experience
• High levels of energy and enthusiasm to stimulate creativity, lateral-thinking and positivity in all interactions
• Real Estate experience desirable


• An impressive team player, excellent Account Manager with a strong ability to implement ideas
• Commercially aware with creative flair and ambition
• Good influencing and motivational skills
