We are working with an innovative app-based business and marketplace, looking to hire a Marketing Director into their fast-paced, digital-first team in London. This role will be the first senior marketing hire the company has made as they look to accelerate their growth in the next year and build a high performing marketing function. You would be part of a relatively newly created, but highly experienced senior management team within the company.
In this role you will, you keep track of marketing trends in order to direct suitable market research efforts. You will define marketing strategies to support overall business strategies and objectives. The business is looking to grow in new markets and as part of this, you will develop an international marketing plan and oversee its implantation over the next 3 to 5 years with the help of your team. On the B2C side, this role will be about driving acquisition and ultimately conversion of new customers to the app. When it comes to B2B, there is a huge opportunity to look at the education of this channel and identifying which channels are the most cost-effective at this crucial stage of growth.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive and creative, having an impressive background in performance marketing, in both consumer and B2B channels. Ideally, you would have done this in a fast-growing business similar to this environment where you are able to help shape the growth. You are results-driven, with a strong understanding of market research and data analysis. You have a strong understanding of business disciplines and software. You are highly organised, with excellent communication skills, bringing an enthusiastic and positive attitude to the team.
