MARKETING DIRECTOR

Department: Marketing Reporting to: Commercial Director

The Strand Palace Hotel, located in the heart of London’s West End, is seeking a Marketing Director to join its commercial department. This role comes at an exciting time, full of opportunity and change, where your input will impact the business as it undergoes a multi-million pound investment in readiness for the 2020s.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Marketing Director will be responsible for oversee the marketing function and be responsible for creating and implementing promotional and marketing strategies that increase the hotel’s revenue across all markets and segments.The role is also responsible for managing the hotel’s PR strategy together with ensuring website and e-commerce optimisation for the hotel.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will have the support of a team of marketing executives and external agencies.

Marketing DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

·Support the formulation and development of the hotel’s marketing strategy.

·Manage the SPH branding and repositioning strategies across all segments.

·Implement the marketing plan and deliver marketing activities within set budget and that subsequently add top-line value to the hotels’ total revenue performance.

·Oversee the production of all promotional collateral as well as internal documents, liaising with designers, printers and suppliers.

·Plan advertising schedules and materials in conjunction with relevant departments.

·Generate media coverage for the hotel along with the PR agency.

·Proactively identify and establish partnerships in liaison with other parties regarding off- and online opportunities.

·Overall responsibility for e-commerce strategy.

·Management of website: development/update of website, monitoring through analytics reports etc.

·Implementation of SEO, PPC and social strategies with agency support.

·Develop CRM across all market segments to assist with the hotel’s strategies.

·Be well-versed in evolving technology and customer behaviour,

PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

·Proven experience in marketing management within the hotel or hospitality industry.

·Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all aspects of marketing disciplines.

·Well-developed commercial acumen and the ability to formulate and implement marketing strategies.

·Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

·Strong organisational, administrative and people management skills.

·A qualification in a marketing or business management related field.
