About you

This brand is the passion and focus of two founders, and has been steadily growing steadily for the past decade, but now they need a Marketing Director to take their brand and growth to the next level.

You will need to have demonstrable experience gained in the beauty, cosmetic or luxury sectors, ideally from a recognised brand or in combination with a smaller brand where 'rolling up your sleeves' has been instinctive. Personality is everything in this newly created role, so you would be expected to demonstrate and evidence the following:

  • Drive, energy and dynamism
  • Very strong influencing and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial flair Commercial understanding, especially on ROI
  • Digital marketing skills - a 'digital native'

This role is a significant move for the business and the founders are very aware of the need to give ownership and authority to this role. Consequently, if you can demonstrate sensitivity whilst being robust, even thick skinned, you will flourish.

About the role

As the newly appointed Marketing Director, the role will have PR/Partnerships, content, digital marketing, trade marketing, product marketing and e-learning people and areas reporting to you.

As a new position, you will be expected to develop the role and be instrumental in fleshing it out and bringing ideas to the table, especially around brand principals and the DNA of the brand. Being able to 'hit the ground running' and binge able to add value almost immediately would be expected.

About the client

This is a brand that has been trading in a highly competitive sector for just over a decade, so to be profitable within 6 years is testament to the quality of the products and ethos of the company.
