This role is responsible for pre-sales marketing support for the FT group’s new integrated commercial offering - FT Marketing Services.




  • Work across the relevant sales teams (FT advertising, FT Live, Longitude and Alpha Grid) to coordinate the production of PowerPoint RFPs and proactive pitches for our new FT Marketing Services commercial offering, ensuring language and formatting are consistent and appropriate.


  • Liaison with our in-house design studio, and where appropriate with Alpha Grid and Longitude, on the creation of product mock-ups for these proposals.


  • Working with the marketing director and marketing manager, support with the creation of pre-sales materials for FT Marketing Services. This includes updating credentials decks, product slides and user journeys.


  • Working with the marketing director and marketing manager, lead on business-as-usual updates to the media kit for FT Marketing Services, ensuring any developments to the offering are represented in a timely and appropriate fashion.


  • Working with the relevant sales lead, marketing director and marketing manager, lead on the creation of real and hypothetical case studies to support clients to visualise FT Marketing Services outputs.


  • Manage the submission of awards for FT Marketing Services projects, coordinating with relevant stakeholders for input, gathering detail and data points, proofreading and managing sign-off process for completed entries.


  • Implement and manage any contra contracts and logistics (e.g. registration management) for FT Marketing Services client events, including research briefings, editorial-led political briefings and client entertainment.


  • Working with the wider commercial marketing team, ensure FT Marketing Services is appropriately representing and promoted in our wider commercial communications, including in client newsletters and lead nurturing programme.




  • Meticulous eye for detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring all deadlines are met and service levels are maintained.

  • Self starter with high energy and initiative.

  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively across departments within the FT and businesses within the FT group.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrable capability with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular PowerPoint.

  • Strong copywriting skills.

  • Appreciation of design principles and how they can be applied to presentations and product mock-ups.

  • A pro-active outlook and willingness to take the initiative and suggest improvements to current work practices.



  • Experience of marketing within the media industry.

  • Graduate or professional qualification in Marketing or related Business area.
