Marketing Assistant Job Description
Support the Managing Director/Sales Director in implementing various strategies and tasks as
outlined in the Marketing Plan. Compile, analyse and report on marketing data and inform
colleagues of trends and market needs (e.g. developing niche markets).
Work under the direction of the Managing Director/Sales Director to help execute the
company’s Marketing Plan.
Research relevant information to help managers and directors develop the Marketing
Plan (market trends, demographics, competitors etc).
Create reports of current activity and findings.
Maintain and manage social media accounts.
Internal marketing conducted to communicate the goals of the business, explaining
why this is important.
Supporting copy/content writing including press releases and blogs.
Manage PR activity
Proof reading content.
Organise and plan the production of marketing materials by working closely with
printers, sponsors etc.
Supporting events/exhibitions and representing the company.
Maintaining the website and updating content and reporting any issues.
Maintaining the MK.I.S/Marketing database (ACT!).
Ensure client information is kept confidential and GDPR legislation is adhered to.
Devise and manage promotions to target markets.

The Marketing Assistant will be creative, proactive and driven with the ambition to further
develop a career in marketing.
The ideal candidate will have the confidence to put forward their ideas with a positive
approach. A flair for writing engaging, persuasive yet concise copy is essential.
The Marketing Assistant will be part qualified (CIM) and will be prepared to gain further
qualifications with Company support. Hours are flexible, and work can be conducted from
home so the ability to work on his/her own initiative is vital.
