The Roald Dahl Story Company (RDSC) manages the copyrights of the world’s number one storyteller - Roald Dahl. The slate of activity that the RDSC coordinates ranges from developing new publishing, merchandise and digital products to activating major new films, television series, stage shows and partnerships. RDSC also develops and drives a range of branded platforms such as the annual Roald Dahl Day and new to market campaign platforms such as Roald Dahl’s Imaginormous Challenge.

The Marketing Assistant will contribute pro-actively to the ongoing growth of the business, inspiring new generations of children to engage with Roald Dahl’s characters and stories. This role supports the implementation the marketing plans within the UK and other key international markets.

This role will be ideal for a junior marketer looking for their next challenge who is passionate about driving brand awareness and spotting opportunities to take brands to new fans.


  • Implementation of marketing campaigns in the UK and key international markets with a particular focus on the US
  • Supporting development of brand platforms such as Dahl Day and Imaginormous – including roll out to key international markets
  • Support creative and copy for partnership campaigns driven both RDSC and its range of publishing, entertainment and other licensing partners and collaborators
  • Support content and copy production for the Marketing Manager and Junior Digital Manager
  • Diary management for the Marketing Director
  • Support on creation of lesson plans and other educationally focused assets
  • Support with experiential marketing opportunities and development of associated asset library
  • Support presentations for key partners
  • Conducting ad-hoc research and analysing data
  • Managing asset banks and acting as a point person for asset use with key partners
  • Writing and proof reading creative copy
  • Ad-hoc support to the Marketing Manager, Marketing Director and Junior Digital Manager
  • Meeting set up support to the marketing team
  • General office admin
