Lead Qualifier - Science Graduates Considered, Cambridge - A leading specialist B2B product manufacturer and supplier are on the lookout for a Lead Qualifier to take on an important role and bridge the gap between their sales and marketing teams. Please note there will be no cold calling within this position, everything is warm, and this is a fantastic opportunity to launch a career in the scientific/medical sales arena at entry level.

As the Lead Qualifier, you'll look over inbound customer enquiries and determine if these leads are 'sales ready'. Good communication skills are crucial, as you'll be engaging with potential customers to determine their business requirements, developing sales opportunities by proactively building relations with companies who are not current existing equipment users or purchasers.

Once you've initiated meaningful discussion with potential future clients, you'll research into the leads and engage with the sales team to understand their quality, and the timeline in which they should be then followed up.

When your part is done, you'll hand over the fully qualified leads to the relevant sales person in the CRM system, having gained a broad understanding of what it is the customer is looking for.

So, what skills and experience will you need to be the ideal candidate for this position?

Due to the nature of the company, you'll ideally have a degree in a scientific discipline, meaning that you'll be able to jump straight in with an ability to pick up new product knowledge quickly.
However, a scientific degree isn't absolutely essential if you have former sales experience, and an aptitude for technical products you could also do well.

If you're a newcomer to the world of leads and sales, you'll be given in-depth training on everything from CRM tools, to the company's product portfolio, and sales infrastructure training.

Naturally, a good telephone manner and communication skills are necessary, along with an ability to work both within a team and autonomously.

This role would be most applicable to candidates travelling from areas of Cambridgeshire and the wider region, including Papworth Everard, Burwell, Sawston, Histon, Cambourne, Swavesey, St. Ives, Newmarket, and Fordham.
