Looking to have a real impact with your recommendations? We're looking for a an insight analyst/manager with experience of sales data (Nielsen, IRI, Dunnhumby/Kantar) who wants to use multiple data sources and have an impact on a well known retailer's business strategy.
They are an agile and data driven organisation and because they are originally an online business and not a business who has opened an online arm, they can make changes and decisions quickly without worrying about historic deals or massive supply chains.
The role is to look at the huge wealth of data on offer to them as an organisation and help build a story alongside one of their largest suppliers to learn as much as they can about customers. The questions they ask look at a variety of things from looking at how customers decide what products to buy, to how they can increase brand loyalty. In the longer term, projects can be looking at all areas of the business and trying to encourage different behaviours.
The aim of the role is to understand the customer and with retail changing so quickly, this company have pledged to put the customer first. Understanding what they need means successful innovation and growth in an industry that is changing on a weekly basis.
Successful candidates will have the following:
- Experience in data driven role using sales data/category info
- 2:1 degree or above in numerate or technical degree
- Some experience in retail or consumer-facing FMCG
- People that are interested in extracting, manipulating and analysing data and building a story from it
- SQL an advantage
Because of the way they work, they're very data and insight focused as an organisation as well as technology driven, constantly looking for new solutions. This means that the role will have significant impact on the organisation rather than simply being a bit part in a larger organisation with little impact.
