Head of Marketing | Education Technology Business
£45,000 – £60,000 + Rising Bonus + Benefits + Part Remote

We are a rapidly expanding Education Technology Business, appointing qualified teachers to provide high quality home tuition for families and clients. We have now developed the business and our own technology to scaleup significantly.
Tutoring stands out as the most popular way for parents to seek to assist their children's education. The demands for tutoring continue to increase; a consequence of increasing pressures on schools (only intensified by Covid-19) and the aspiration for children to succeed academically. Tutoring is an increasingly large part of the UK's education economy and is currently estimated to be worth £8.5bn.
We currently provides over 18,000 qualified and experienced teachers who also offer their skills as high quality home tutors, across the UK. All our teachers are subject-specialists, professional, reliable, up to date with the current demands of a changing curriculum.
Reporting directly into the CEO, you will be at the heart of this scaleup company, which aims to own the market for high quality home tuition across the UK with a 35% market share by 2025.
+ The immediate task at hand is to build the marketing strategy, the marketing team and the lead generation engine.
+ In the coming years, we will then raise our eyes and look further ahead … and begin to shape and nurture our charitable and international work.
As Head of Marketing, your main duties will include:
+ Setting and implementing the marketing strategy to scaleup the business.
+ Recruiting and then developing your own marketing team to deliver the strategy.
+ Building a lead generation machine, utilising multiple channels.
+ Planning and executing campaigns across multiple channels, including SEO, PPC, PR, brand communications, e-mail, blogs, social media.
+ Optimising the acquisition funnels.
+ Measuring, testing and learning.
+ Analysing and reporting on marketing KPIs to track campaign effectiveness.
+ Managing the marketing budget and measuring effectiveness of the marketing spend.
+ You will have leadership skills, an executive presence and be an exceptional communicator
+ 5+ years of experience in B2C marketing within a fast-paced company with a strong culture and mindset
+ Proven experience and success across most of the major disciplines of marketing: product, branding, strategy, digital, social media, business development, and lead generation
+ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
+ Commercial leader, with the ability to see the “big picture” and to work with a high degree of autonomy
+ Enjoy nurturing and developing young talent
+ Strategic thinker but also able to have a hands-on operational and tactical pragmatism, especially in the early days
+ Robust understanding of market research, data analysis methods and recognise the importance of measuring, testing and learning
+ Excellent command of digital marketing, including e-mail, social media, Google Analytics, SEO
+ Experience managing and growing communities and loyalty programs
