Head of Marketing

Role:

Working closely with the Executive Team of Imparta, and in particular the Chief Commercial Officer, The Head of Marketing will lead a small team responsible for executing the marketing and lead generation activities of Imparta. This is a crucial role, with the twin objectives of generating high value leads for the sales team and building Imparta’s brand. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of digital marketing and executing lead generation campaigns.

 

Digital marketing and Communications:

  • Working with Imparta’s web developer maintaining the website and continuously improving its performance in terms of engagement, lead generation, and reducing bounce rate.

  • Working with digital marketing assistant, aligning high impression keywords to the website to achieve the highest quality score possible and therefore increasing click through

  • Ensuring planned and effective spend of online budget

  • Monitoring adwords activity alongside OpenTracker (online analytics tool) to see which clicks are achieving greatest traction on the site and reallocating our spend accordingly

  • Social Media.Ensuring Imparta have web presence to drive SEO(regular updates at least twice weekly) on LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+

 

Targeted Direct Marketing Campaigns

Working with the digital marketing assistant to manage all aspects of campaigns across Imparta UK, and Europe, USA and Australia including:

  • Working in Pardot and Salesforce

  • Segmentation of contacts

  • Campaign concept and sign off

  • Creation of collateral

  • Coordination of online campaign content (website and social media)

  • Coordination of all event communications

  • Sourcing of relevant contact database

  • Sending emails/post

  • Tracking results and handing over to Client Director’s when appropriate

  • Management of inbound leads.  Includes qualification and allocation to the relevant Client Director. 

  • ROI analysis.

     

Strategy, Positioning and Insight:

  • Working with CEO on Executive team on all aspects of competitive strategy

  • Keeping up to date with Imparta’s competitive landscape, the competitive strategies of competitors

  • Providing insight from research and customers to improve Imparta solutions, and develop new product and solution ideas

  • Implementing research projects into customer needs

  • Establishing and running a customer panel

     

     

Brand Identity:

  • Taking Imparta’s brand identity to the next level by refreshing look, feel and desirability of the website, marketing collateral, pitch resources and outgoing communications

  • Experience in developing and using video to effectively communicate the brand and Imparta solutions.

 

Content Development:

 

  • Updating and refreshing product collateral (working with product team)

  • Developing and commissioning content for campaigns and positioning

  • Writing content – blogs, case studies etc

  • Developing a library of case studies with the measurement team

 

Events, Awards and Recognition

  • Organising events to support proposition launches and lead generation, including seminars, exhibitions, open programmes and other events as required.

  • Ensuring Imparta or our clients win (or are finalist in) 3 awards per year.This includes responsibility for full written application and organisation of presentations and events.Examples of awards are; TrainingIndustry.com Top 20 Sales Training Company, Learning Awards, Stevie Awards, National Business Awards etc.

     

    Skills and experience required:

  • Substantial experience in lead generation and B2B and digital marketing

  • Good copywriting skills

  • Have led a small marketing team and managed a marketing budget

  • Ability to get things done without always relying on agencies

  • You are a friendly, highly organised and well-presented individual. You’ll be proactive, business savvy, professional, articulate, numerate, resourceful, and have the ability to work on own initiative.

  • An excellent communicator up to Board level

  • Strong digital marketing experience and experience of SEO;

  • Familiar working within Salesforce and Pardot;

  • Experience of the training industry preferable but not essential;

  • Able to think strategically about marketing campaigns, understands segmentation and targeting;

  • Able to discuss marketing ideas at a senior level and achieve buy-in and support from senior execs and sales team ;

  • Proven track record in generating leads for sales teams;

  • Experience and understanding of building a brand and generating leads online;

  • Proven record of tracking ROI of marketing spend;

  • Effective project execution skills;

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;

  • A high degree of detail-orientation and efficiency;

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English);

  • Expert level MS Office skills

  • Graduate calibre or above;

  • Live within a 60 minute commute of Parsons Green or willing to relocate (UK based applicants only please);

  • The legal right to remain and work in the United Kingdom for the next three years minimum.
