Premium beauty/retail brand is looking for an E-commerce & Digital Director to head up their digital marketing team in Central London (north of Soho)


Key responsibility is to drive the rapid growth of e-commerce sales and implementation of a broader digital strategy, which underpins global brand strategy and mid-term commercial goals:

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Global Brand Director and Regional Sales & Marketing teams to support the development and delivery of the annual global marketing strategy and regional business plans
    • Establish and deliver an annual budget/P&L for the brand for both the UK/ROW and North America, maximising profitable sales by improving site performance vs. KPIs
    • Be the key driver in developing and optimizing the performance and digital brand marketing of CCP’s E-commerce platform in order to provide customers with an experience that is consistent with the brands exceptional standards, and further drive the presence within the luxury market
    • Deliver a strategic approach in driving ongoing traffic and promotions to generate sales revenues and build awareness
    • Act as the in-house expert, helping establish accelerated retail growth targets for partners’ .com businesses and coaching on tactics to support and grow 3rd-party e-business
    • Build appropriate digital support plans to support all global/national campaigns for key product launches & seasons, and provide support for key local marketing initiatives
    • Support PR efforts to ensure an effective influencer strategy is in place in key markets
    • Ensure delivery of an efficient CRM programme with a focus on recruiting to and improving management of the existing database, and effectively segmenting, analysing, and utilising that data to grow consumer understanding and engagement
    • Ensure digital marketing activity is cohesively integrated with PR, trade marketing and other consumer-facing marketing initiatives, maximising the impact and effectiveness of marketing campaigns in acquiring new customers and growing individual customer value
  • Appoint and manage relevant 3rd-party experts in both regions which minimise fixed costs and effectively support the growth of e-commerce operations and acquisition of new customers in key markets
  • Ensure the brand’s visual identity and tone of voice is effectively adapted for the various digital medium but remains consistent with the brands house style
  • In true partnership with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain capitalise on market insights to continuously strengthen brand communications, product portfolio, customer experience and customer productivity
  • Coach and develop a core team of digital marketers to support you in delivery of your responsibilities, providing clear direction on business objectives & performance; fostering an environment which champions collective responsibility alongside personal accountability; empowering individuals to act as commercially-minded entrepreneurs; and providing clear and regular feedback on individual’s performance and areas for development

Key attributes:

  • Results-driven, hands on, and commercially-minded digital commerce & marketing expert with 10+ years’ experience successfully operating e-commerce websites and supporting digital programmes, preferably with experience utilising the WordPress platform and trading in both the UK and USA
  • Well-rounded individual with the ability to lead a company and team strategically, operationally, creatively, and analytically
  • Demonstrable track record of driving rapid and profitable e-commerce growth for a luxury brand and innovative digital solutions
  • Strong commercial skills, able to plan sales, margin and investment effectively, as well as target and measure success and adjust plans accordingly based on results and business environment
  • Experience selecting and managing select 3rd-party partnerships – technical, media & experiential
  • Proven ability to lead a team and inspire & win the confidence of colleagues and partners
  • A highly resourceful and collaborative team player with strong organisational skills, planning and coordinating the department’s priorities and workload as required in order to meet the company’s targets and deadlines
  • Proactive approach to planning and problem-solving, with strong decision-making capability
  • Effective time management skills, able to provide oversight to multiple projects while delegating effectively to balance workload and empower/develop your team
  • Visible passion for luxury brands, digital commerce & marketing and ideally the luxury/fragrance category
  • Self-driven individual with high standards of performance, attention to detail, time-keeping, and professional conduct
