The Opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for a highly creative Head of Digital Marketing. This role would suit a highly strategic digital native who is passionate about innovation, mastering new technology and driving digital campaigns to create seamless customer journeys and experiences.
The Head of Digital Marketing will play a key role in shaping the company's digital strategy. Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you will line manage a Data Analyst to implement a culture of data-driven insights through marketing technology, analysis, optimization and consistent reporting.

The company is a multiple award-winning producer of investment conferences for Africa and Latin America's energy sectors. Best known for the Africa Energy Forum, the longest running Forum for decision makers in Africa's power sector. They also produce region-specific investment meetings focusing on the power generation potential of some of the world's most exciting emerging markets. Recent event locations include Lisbon, Miami, Cape Town, Cartagena, Lima, and Panama City.

Key Responsibilities:

* Own and deliver the digital marketing strategy in line with business objectives
* Use marketing automation technology to craft exceptional customer journeys and qualify leads
* Use digital channels and technologies to enhance online presence of the business
* Oversee the integrations between technology platforms to ensure a seamless experience for customers moving through the customer value journey
* Line manage a Data Analyst to create audience development strategies, identify trends, continuously monitor customer NPV and feedback actionable insights
* Oversee the structure, implementation & optimization of sales data plans
* Develop innovative, revenue-generating ideas for campaigns in the portfolio
* Oversee website optimization projects which enhance our ability to convert organic web traffic

Knowledge & Skills:

* At least 5 years' previous experience in a similar strategic/marketing position
* Previous experience of leadership and line management
* Previous role within subscriptions model highly desirable
* Experience integrating industry leading marketing technology tools like Pardot, Sprout Social, Salesforce CRM, chatbots, landing page software etc
* In depth knowledge of marketing performance metrics
* Excellent ability to strategically interpret data trends and gaps, providing analysis and recommendations
* Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and PECR
