Job Description

Swansea University’s College of Science seeks an experienced marketing and recruitment professional with a proven track record of management and leadership skills to join a dynamic, ambitious College team.  This is an exciting time to join the College of Science at Swansea – The Times’ Top University in Wales 2017.  The College has six academic departments and a strong reputation for innovative teaching and interdisciplinary research in Biosciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, Mathematics and Physics.  Development and growth continue with a new £31m Computational Foundry due to open on the University’s Bay Campus in 2018. 

This role represents a great opportunity to join the University and lead marketing and recruitment for a dynamic College which brings science to life through globally excellent and impactful research, passionate hands-on teaching and vibrant business community engagement.

 

The role will involve:

  • Providing high level leadership for the College’s marketing, recruitment and internationalisation team

  • Developing a College marketing and recruitment strategy

  • Developing the College’s course portfolio including transnational education, blended and distance learning and international institution collaboration

  • Responsibility for the production of digital and physical marketing materials and

  • Responsibility for formulating and embedding College communications and PR plans

  • Developing alumni relations and advancement opportunities

 

Skills and Qualifications:

A higher degree or relevant professional qualification or significant and relevant work experience. Customer Service, Interpersonal Communication, Marketing Strategies, Product Development, Creativity, Financial Strategy, Data Analysis, Written and Verbal Communication, Organisation, Planning, Research and Analysis, People Management, Leadership.

Some national and international travel may be required.
