A unique contract opportunity to join an exceptional global technology business and one of the leaders in innovation and progressive technology. This is a confidential new opening for a qualified senior level project manager to implement a new consumer subscription business model which will be rolled out on a global scale.
Working closely with a range of key stakeholders and internal teams, you will be tasked with executing and project managing the introduction of this new service by building a comprehensive knowledge of the market place and understanding customer values.
You will need to be an experienced, engaging professional with a recognised project management qualification as well as strong commercial acumen and financial awareness. You must have a background within the consumer goods sector, ideally IT/technology related (but not essential) and it would be an advantage if you have knowledge of the dynamics of subscription models, in store services activation via cards, and consumer credit within the retail sector, both in store and online.
Working closely with sales teams, in country Business Managers, Business Unit product launch groups, service and finance teams you will confidently and demonstrably be able to communicate all this market knowledge to senior management and occasionally to head office in Asia, in order to contribute to a strong subscription package development that enables business growth.
The role is based out of offices in Hemel Hempstead with regularly travel across Europe. The role is offered on a contract basis with the initial contract period expected to be anywhere between 3 and 9 months (likely 6-9 months).
Technology - requires a strong understanding of key industry technologies and those of competitors, whilst also understanding the key subscription services in the market and the predicted future trends of this market. Technically evaluate and analyse products, competitors and their subscription offerings.
Project Management - actively contribute to the subscription proposition development by properly engaging with stakeholders.
Product Planning - track the price/features/value propositions of key competitors and other industry standards with a segmented approach, use this information and technology developments as inputs to plan future subscription programs.
Market - deep understanding of the subscription models within the Consumer market, ideally for the IT/Telco industries. Work with the market research team and product management, use external and internal data sources to build the correct segmented market sizing and trend view for business and product planning.
Customer - working with the market research team, gain an insight and understanding of the customer profile for the subscription programs, including market segment and resulting customer value. Support the regional sales team to pitch the subscription based, new business models to the channel, and act as Product Manager for the subscription based new business models, supporting all activities for the introduction of the subscription.
Skills & Experience required:
Previous experience of project managing a successful consumer retail based business model and the implementation of high profile product roll-outs across EMEA.
Ideally a good understanding of subscription models, in-store services activations via cards, and consumer credit with retailers across Europe.
The ability to analyse and evaluate in-house and competitor products in order to grow market share and predict future tendencies.
Strong project management skills and excellent communications skills with the ability to build strong rapport with Retailers/E-tail buyers.
Numerate, excellent attention to detail, analytical.
