Salary: Circa GBP 80,000 per annum

About the role

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and creative individual to lead the marketing communications function of the British Red Cross.

In the run up to our 150th anniversary in 2020, we are seeking a collaborative, tenacious individual with the vision and ambition to make our brand as relevant as it is famous, and to oversee strategic, integrated advertising and marketing campaigns and engagement activity.

About the team
The Director of Marketing Communications is a new post and will be a key member on the Communications and Engagement Directorate Management Team, as well as being part of the Senior Leadership Team of the wider organisation.

The marketing communications function includes brand & advertising, marketing, content & creative, website and museum & heritage.

About the person
Candidates should have proven and relevant experience in a leadership role, strong understanding of brand, marketing & content strategy, and up to date specialist skills, including audience insight, content marketing, digital communications and analytics.
