Job Description

Director of Marketing & Communications
Required as soon as possible
Competitive salary plus benefits

This is an unrivalled opportunity to lead the marketing and communications brief of one of the most exciting and forward-looking independent schools in south London at a momentous time in its history.

As Director of Marketing & Communications, you will play a central role in building the reputation of the School and ensuring it continues to expand its catchment area. You will develop innovative ways of promoting its activities, attracting high-quality pupils for admission, liaising with feeder schools, scheduling high-profile events to ensure that the School is constantly in the public eye, and relentlessly seeking fresh opportunities for promotion in the local and national communities.

You will have an astute awareness of brand development and positioning and be familiar with the opportunities that social media gives for marketing activity.  You will also have expertise in market segmentation and will have an aptitude for the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategy and decisions, showing a close and subtle understanding of target audiences and local competitors, as well as an astute awareness of the dynamics of the local market.

Excellent oral and communication skills, a positive, enthusiastic and charismatic manner which successfully builds relationships with others, and the gravitas to engage effectively with parents, teachers, opinion formers and members of the local community are essential.

If you have the relevant skills and experience to craft and deliver a robust marketing strategy that supports and promotes the whole-school strategic aims we would be delighted to hear from you.

In return, we can offer a variety of benefits, including:

• Competitive salaries and pay progression

• Access to extensive professional development opportunities

• Training grants for qualifications

• Generous pension schemes

• Free life assurance benefit

• Free school lunches

• A discount of up to 50% on fees for children at GDST schools
