Digital Project Manager – The Role

At World Animal Protection, our marketing teams are integral to the success of our campaigns. The team is full of intelligent and driven marketers who help move the world to protect animals.

In this exciting role you will translate our strategy into action, initially leading the continued implementation of our new global email client, Marketo and other projects such as our campaign milestones and optimisation projects. Longer term this position will take on several varied and exciting digital projects.

You will act as the product manager for this crucial element of our digital infrastructure and take responsibility for being the key interface between our global digital staff, internal stakeholders and business managers from third parties.

You will also turn ambitious global campaigns to protect animals worldwide into creative and innovative digital projects and products that engage and mobilise as well as deliver against goals and priorities.

We will look to you to scope projects, design delivery plans, create project documentation, manage stakeholder communications and coordinate delivery against KPI’s. You will provide insights, spot trends and advise internal stakeholders on best practice in developing innovation too.

Important will be the ability to use your expertise to share knowledge, provide guidance to colleagues, improve learning and champion an Agile approach at a global and local level. 

Digital Project Manager – Requirements

  • Experience (qualifications preferred) in one of the major project management methodologies.
  • Expertise in delivering digital products from project brief, through definition to launch into evaluation.
  • Thorough knowledge and proven experience of UX principles applied to complex digital product developments
  • Ability to influence and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders (Important)
  • Experience in developing user experience and testing guidelines to ensure digital engagement standards are met from a design and functionality perspective
  • Thorough understanding of risk, quality and optimisation in a digital project. 
  • Understanding of the principles of back and front-end development and hosting in large scale projects
  • In-depth knowledge of email client product management is desired but not essential, specifically clients with marketing automation capabilities
