Digital Product Owner

(.air mobile app, Op Co mobile app and .com integration)
£50,000 - £60,000 - Excellent benefits.

This is an opportunity to work for a leading airline group flying to over 250 destinations and carrying almost 95 million passengers each year.

They're developing a brand new customer portal, which will deliver tailored multi-brand products and services in flight - all driven through a innovative app. This will drastically transform the customer experience and their capability to generate revenue whilst passengers are on board the aircraft.

This role:

  • Responsible for the integration of group mobile and .com applications with the inflight portal and services
  • Be the custodian of the .air mobile application, Op Co mobile app and .com integration across the group to ensure quality, service and compliance standards maintained and evolve in line with market and customer expectations
  • Establish the service agreement with the chosen 3rd party supplier with Group Procurement
  • Produce and maintain the mobile and .com roadmap for inflight commercial and alignment with OpCo development projects
  • Input requirements to integrate mobile functionality into Op Co and .air mobile applications
  • Promote and communicate the benefits of connectivity and inflight technology to the group
  • Responsible for the delivery of mobile and .com to meet the needs of the group
  • Work with OpCo business teams, Engineering and Group IT to support inflight commercial programme
  • Ensure open communications with a constant feedback loop at all appropriate levels
  • Successfully deliver mobile and .com products in line with internal control and financial guidelines
  • Deputise for Product Strategy Manager where appropriate
  • Working groups in each OpCo's Commercial, Customer, Marketing, Strategy, Operations, Engineering departments

Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience of mobile and .com development applications including integration using SDK
  • IT solutions architecture
  • Develops and maintains relationships with a wide range of contacts
  • Experience working with Agile projects
  • Innovative, with a strong desire to achieve practical and cost effective results
  • Normally educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Keeps abreast of latest trends and emerging technology
  • Monitors and adapts competitor and market changes
  • Able to manage complexity and ambiguity, and to resolve contradictions
  • A proven and recent track record of championing programme delivery to aggressive timescales, the successful implementation of which have delivered significant customer benefit or cost/productivity improvement
  • Achieve agreed deliverables for inflight portal
  • Establish proof of concepts for mobile and .com features
  • Enable the value proposition for ongoing inflight commercial investment
  • Enable inflight commercial value road map
  • Stakeholder buy in and integration of mobile and .com SDK requirements within OpCo project plans
