About the role

This role is part of a team which provides digital marketing and communications support to the many projects and campaigns that are handled within Group Marketing. The digital team has responsibility for Capita’s digital footprint, both internal and external channels, and for delivering Capita’s digital marketing and communications strategy.

As part of this role, the job holder will work with members of the marketing team to support them in the digital aspects of the projects and marketing campaigns they are responsible for delivering as well as taking ownership for some channels..

What you will do:

Key responsibilities of the role:

Assist the digital marketing and communications manager in developing and implementing a digital strategy which supports the organisations long term aims. Manage selected projects that support this.

Work with external agencies and internal IT teams to implement developments and fix problems

Preparation of monthly reporting for digital channels.  Use analytics to identify areas of improvement and implement changes as appropriate.

Management of artwork assets and images for use on website, intranet and social channels

Management of content on the Capita intranet – Connections, ensuring quality and brand compliance. Uploading and editing of content for group marketing as well as approval and publishing of content uploaded by business editors.

Develop, maintain and deliver training materials and programmes for digital channels.

Create and maintain a community of intranet editors, to help ensure good practice.

Support the content owners of Capita websites in uploading content, sourcing and cropping of images and maintaining quality (eg broken link checks), working with third party agencies as needed.

Develop strategies for the corporate social channels for LinkedIn and YouTube. Own and manage these on an ongoing basis, working with marketing contacts and internal resourcing for the provision of content.

Develop digital marketing strategies and tactics for specific campaigns

Provide expert opinion and support on digital marketing techniques to group marketing colleagues and the wider business.

Your experience will include:

Good knowledge and understanding of web and social media as communications media

Experience working on large complex websites and intranets

Ability to communicate technical issues and understand, create and feedback on functional specifications.

Experience using digital marketing technologies, including content management systems, analytics packages, digital asset management systems, collaboration tools, social media publishing and monitoring tools.

Knowledge of best practice in key digital marketing areas including but not limited to search engine marketing, email marketing, social media engagement and monitoring and mobile marketing. 

Experienced in image processing using Adobe Photoshop
