Position Objective:

To develop and deliver the digital strategy to support PETA Netherlands’ (NL) campaigns and growth, including managing complex and diverse online marketing projects that promote the organisation’s mission

Term of Employment:

Full-time

Reports to:

Director of International Programmes, PETA UK

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Deliver PETA NL’s online campaigns
  • Carry out research related to campaigns
  • Create new and engaging content for PETA NL’s website – including features, blogs, and action alerts – as well as for supporter e-mails
  • Work closely with PETA NL campaigner to ensure the accuracy of digital content
  • Work with PETA UK’s senior digital marketing manager to ensure that online campaigns are as effective as possible
  • Foster support for campaigns via e-mail and website content
  • Monitor and improve the user experience and search engine friendliness of content across digital assets
  • Coordinate PETA NL’s online advertising efforts
  • Coordinate PETA NL’s social media channels
  • Suggest and implement best-practice recommendations for search engine optimisation
  • Track and analyse web traffic and the success of social media and ad campaigns, changing strategies accordingly
  • Research campaign-related information for PETA NL’s correspondence, publications, action alerts, web features, and social media posts
  • Translate texts for use by PETA NL
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Dutch and English
  • Understanding of issues affecting animals in the Netherlands and the rest of the world
  • Proven digital marketing experience
  • Experience managing social media pages, with proven success in fostering engagement
  • Experience in web content production preferred
  • Experience with e-campaigning tools preferred
  • Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research and handle many issues simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Adherence to a vegan lifestyle strongly preferred
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organisation
