Our principle points of sale are marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay etc. where third party suppliers are encouraged to advertise their products and make them available to the customer bases of those brands. In addition to third party marketplaces, the business also operates a number of its own brands/websites,

The company has grown since its inception in 2005 and now employs over 200 staff in three separate countries, shipping 15,000+ items per day to customers across the globe.

The company is globally one of the top 10 largest third party sellers on both Amazon and eBay.

The Digital Marketing Content Executive Role:

Candidate Brief:

We are looking for a skilled candidate who has a demonstrable track record in a digital marketing and who can take ownership of the content strategy for our two book brand sites.

First and foremost, this candidate will love books, reading and the world of publishing. This would not simply be as a hobby, but in having worked for book retailers and/or publishers in previous roles. Secondly, they will be passionate about sustainability and brands who have sustainable business models at their core – not just paying lip service to such things. They should be able to articulate why this is important to them and how they would communicate this to stakeholders and customers were they given a suitable opportunity in the right role.

About You:

+ Must have minimum of 3 years experience in e-commerce B2C retail as a content marketer. Working in publishing or book retail, with a passion for books would be highly desirable.
+ Ability to articulate themselves as demonstrated by content they have crafted and which has gone out to customers and/or other stakeholders.
+ Understanding and practical experience of managing organic and paid customer acquisition campaigns on social media/Google Ads etc. Understanding of ROI and how it is calculated through different channels.
+ Day to day management of social media platforms either directly or through software which allows delivery/posting on multiple channels simultaneously.
+ Creative design skills, proficient in adobe design suites e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
+ Working knowledge in understanding e-commerce sales metrics and use of Google Analytics to understand and present e-commerce site trends/metrics.
+ Good understanding of SEO principles especially when creating regular blog posts.
+ A track record of setting up and monitoring digital marketing programmes in previous work experience, with involvement from setup right through to analysis/improvement of campaigns. Must have dealt with personalised customer journey’s, setting up framework of databases so that useful information is captured and utilised across marketing programmes.
+ Past experience in posting web content using WordPress, Magento etc
+ Experience in using large scale email marketing software to create email campaigns, customer segments, A/B tests and analyse performance of campaigns.
+ Ability to design/tweak leaflets, packaging etc as required.
+ Proficient in Excel & MS office applications, using them to present data, results and ideas to team and also external stakeholders.
