Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with both the client and the AYS team to deliver all copy to ensure consistency and inline with brand TOV
  • Excellent communication skills and a solid grasp of grammar
  • Produce original copy, long and short, strap lines and headlines for multi channel marketing campaigns and technical specifications
  • To generate new ideas and solutions to briefs
  • Amend copy inline with client feedback
  • Responsible for the brands editorial output
  • Ensure that internal processes are maintained and improved
  • Maintain an interest in culture with a focus on our editorial pillars; art, music and food
  • Support the Brand Comms team in the day-to-day creation and publishing of content
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary creatives to develop formats and new content franchises
  • Liaise with a range of contributors to create editorial outputs
  • Conduct and transcribe interviews
  • Create data-informed editorial that is culturally relevant
  • Understanding of SEO and tagging that meets prime search engine standards


Skills and experience

  • A passion for the written word and content
  • Possess creative and conceptual flair and enjoy working closely with designers to generate new ideas
  • Skilled in writing accurate, clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
  • Follow client’s tone of voice throughout all
  • Experience of writing social first copy
  • Work well under pressure and manage workloads effectively
  • Highly self-motivated and well organised
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Evidence of an ability to understand new ideas quickly and to convey those ideas to others
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of using web content management systems (CMS)
