Our client is a local charity providing specialist palliative and end of life care and support to patients and their family and friends. Since opening their doors to their first patient in January 1987, they have cared for over 14,000 local people and at any one time they care for over 230 people in the local community. All services are provided free of charge, they are not a part of the NHS and rely on public support to raise 87% of their £6.7 million annual running costs.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Fundraiser, with strong community outreach, marketing and events experience, to join this hard-working team raising c£400,000 annually.
Community Fundraising Manager
Salary: In the region of £28,000 pa (dependent upon skills & experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the successful candidate will help coordinate the activities of a small team engaged in stimulating community fundraising activity and planning/delivering our client's programme of fundraising events.
You will have drive and determination and be able to demonstrate a successful track record in community fundraising and engagement, with impressive results and evidence that you have inspired individuals, corporates and groups to initiate their own fundraising activities. Social media experience and knowledge is also key to delivering the organisation's community fundraising engagement strategy.
Ideally you will have a degree or relevant fundraising qualification, coupled with at least 3 years fundraising experience (or equivalent). You will be a team player who is able to work independently, strategically, innovatively and effectively, maintaining a confident and approachable manner with all internal and external audiences.
