Due to consistent and continuous growth over the past few years, this industry recognised not for profit organisation are seeking a Communications Manager to lead on the development and delivery of an integrated communications strategy, designed to increase awareness of the organisation and their specialist area.
Managing a small team and working closely with the CEO, Head of External Affairs, Head of Marketing, as well as other related teams, you will ensure that a clear communication plan is initiated and delivered. Leading the communications team in the delivery of a range of tactical plans/campaigns in support of the communications strategy, the key areas of focus are; Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Social Media, Internal Communications, and Member Communications.
Your duties will be wide ranging and will include:
*Providing editorial oversight and guidance of a range of content produced by others within the organisation to ensure messaging guidance and quality control.
*Acting as a spokesperson and representative for the organisation with media and in appropriate public settings
*Identify best practice for communications activity through the various existing channels and make recommendations to ensure a consistent, innovative and high value approach.
*Oversee PR and media relations - initiating, responding or delegating where appropriate.
*Management of the communications planning process, including procuring information from all areas of the organisation to ensure effective timing and inclusion of agreed corporate messaging
*Working in partnership with colleagues on bespoke initiatives including content strategy
*Creation and day to day management of the Communications budget, ensuring resources managed effectively
For this role we are looking for a communications professional who has developed effective communications strategies for complex organisations, and who has exemplary communications and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
You will have excellent time management and attention to detail, outstanding communication skills, both in terms of written and oral work, with demonstrable technical experience of communicating effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
