Our client is a globally successful FMCG business with an instantly recognised brand in both retail and foodservice channels. To support their ambitious growth agenda a new Category and Insight role has been created.
Reporting to the Category Marketing Manager the Category and Insight analyst will provide commercial support in the form of actionable recommendations based on sound market and competitor insight. This role will help to shape the short and long term strategy by providing category segment data analysis for selected retail customers. The Category and Insight analyst will help to identify current and future dynamics and trends, measuring their impact and sharing these insights with the commercial team. You will use you insight expertise to create a suite of reports from continuous data sets such as EPOS, IRI, Nielsen, dunnhumby and Retail Link.
The ideal candidate will possess at least three years analytical experience, ideally gained in an FMCG environment, within a closely related role such as Category Management, Insight or National Accounts. Candidates from a research or insight agency or with grocery retail experience are also of interest. Excellent communication skills are as important as commercial awareness as you will be working cross functionally, influencing your sales and marketing colleagues.
