Our client is a global experiential and live events agency that currently works with some of the most well-known sports and FMCG brands in the world. With stunning offices in central London and a buzzing team of around 180, this agency is one of the pioneers in their field.

Like all big agencies over the recent years they have refined their offering, the culture of the business and the direction they would like to go in the next 5 years.

As you walk around these contemporary offices and meet some familiar and new faces you can get a sense of positivity in the air. With break rooms and open spaces there is a hive of activity and enthusiasm wherever you look. All this translates to their approach and passion for the business.

Its due to this passion and direction our client is now seeking a dedicated Business Development Director who has solid experience within the experiential and live events space. This is critical by the way. Sorry to be a bore but you must have an experiential background.

As a Business Development Director, you will work with the divisional Managing Director and help shape and implement the new business strategy. Although this role in theory will be based out of their London office… if you are in the office everyday then there is a problem. You should be spending more time out networking and meeting prospect clients than sitting in the office. Like everything in life, it’s about balance.

This is very much a leadership role as you will become the face of the business and must be well versed in all forms of business development. This should include social, events, workshops, calls, email, networking, lunches etc etc.

Now this bit goes without saying… of course you have to be outgoing, entrepreneurial with the gravitas to liaise at C level. However, what probably tops this is the ability to be flexible. And I don’t mean Yoga! More that this role requires an agile business developer who won’t just rely on the name but rather is prepared to get stuck in and potentially open up new markets that complement their existing targets.

In return for your skills and experience as a Business Development Director our client offers a generous package consisting of £60-65k basic plus 6% of the gross of profit of introduced business along with an array of other benefits.
