Salary: £61,169 per annum together with USS pension benefits
This is a senior leadership role with clearly defined responsibility for the key strategic area of Marketing. This area is cross-university and has overall responsibility for maintaining functional integrity in Marketing (Corporate, Recruitment, Research and Business), Marketing Intelligence and Digital Marketing across Colleges and Professional Services. The role will be line managed by the Director of Marketing, Recruitment, Internationalisation and Development, with direct accountability to the University Council for the strategic area. They will be empowered to act on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer and Registrar, as well as being a nominated Deputy to the Director.
The role-holder will need to adapt to these changing strategic priorities:
- Develop the reputation and brand of the University further as a world-class University in the UK top-30 and a top-300 position in the world.
- Enhance and lead the University’s Marketing Strategy to support the University’s priorities and meet 10 year financial forecasts.
- Develop and implement strategic change in our digital culture by transforming the digital marketing capability across the University in line with the Digital Strategy.
The University has established challenging and ambitious plans running to our Centenary in 2020. You will be expected to play a central role leading these areas across the University. The role will lead the development and delivery of University-wide strategy which, when coupled with more streamlined functional alignment, to increase the University’s chances of meeting growth trajectories.
