Better Placed are delighted to be working exclusively with a highly reputable, global manufacturing and distribution business who are looking for an Area Sales Manager to look after the South of England (territory will run from Plymouth to Kent) This role with predominantly see your working from home with an expectation of travel throughout the UK and visits to the Head Office in Doncaster.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing sales accounts and relationships including a broad range of Distributers, Southern based National Dealer Groups, IT and industrial product sellers. Key aim of this role is to create successful sales in the organisations core and growing product categories within direct and indirect accounts. You will be responsible for identifying new distribution and channel opportunities as well as using the businesses direct marketing activity to develop sales opportunities that can be converted by the sales team. The National Sales Manager will also ensure that sales and profit of the products are achieved and be responsible for negotiating with customers to maximise product placement in all relevant categories.
To be considered for this position you must have a proven track record of identifying and converting business opportunities into profitable sales and have strong account management skills, ideally within the manufacturing/FMCG/consumer durables industries. You must be prepared to travel frequently within the UK and to the head office which will also involve regular overnight stays.
