Analytics Consultant
Salary: £50,000 - £90,000 DOE
Location: London (with remote working)

One of the UK's leading information and analytics company is now looking for an Analytics Consultant to join and become part of their exciting growth plans.

This multifaceted role will involve utilising a variety of cutting-edge techniques to analyse and forecast factors in the retail market, allowing end clients to track market developments and economic issues to make effective business decisions.

About the role
Given full ownership of a highly innovative forecast database you will be identifying key factors in the retail market by looking into economic, industry and social data
Keeping on top of key sector and economic developments, tracking subsequent implications for retailers/manufacturers, and using this to inform and create forecasts
Working closely with the data science team and engineers so they can then build out models and algorithms based on your hypotheses
Overseeing the development of forecasts and methodologies, evaluation of forecasts, working closely with clients and presenting to non-technical /technical audiences on findings

About you
Strong background in analytics (Advanced Excel skills) with proven experience in dealing with financial/economic / market data to then create market-specific forecasts
Ability to manage large databases and then create hypotheses to inform on data model/algorithm builds
Strong stakeholder management skills, which will include working closely with technical teams and external clients on a consultative basis
Commercial experience/understanding of macro-economic models and the retail sector would be a plus
