This Is an Incredibly exciting opportunity to join an Independent Consultancy in London who are looking for an Agency Lead to join them on a full-time basis.

The Role….

The Agency Lead is an integral role in within this Consultancy.
As an Agency Lead you will be one of the key points of contact for their clients, alongside the Consultant. You will translate and communicate client needs to the operational teams, be involved in (and sometimes lead) client meetings and contribute to business development.

You will work closely with the Consultants and Junior Consultants, across a broad client base to build strong relationships with clients and ensure value is added to their service.

There will be an overall line manager for the Agency Leads who will be responsible for setting best practice for this role and managing their development. This line manager is likely to be a senior Consultant. The Agency Leads will also have a dotted line in to the consultants on the agencies they work on.

What you will be doing….

Building Relationships

*Manage key local and/or global agency relationships on a day-to-day basis, being the named contact alongside the Consultant.
*Working in partnership with the Consultant, you will know and be able to represent your agencies' business, understanding the landscape and how they operate so to deliver their services in the best way for them.
*You will actively manage agency kick off calls and early round communications. During fieldwork you will flag and share highlights from findings or areas of concern.
*You will support the onboarding of new clients / accounts / markets and make introductions where appropriate.
*Interest in human relationships is your area of passion - you want to actively learn about how good and trusted relationships work

Understanding your clients

*Learning the landscape of the agency world, reading trade press and taking an interest in what's new.
*Log concerns and ambitions discussed in reviews and therefore the things they will want to see reflected in their reports.
*Attend client meetings and contribute to de-briefs. Shadow and participate in Relationship Reviews where appropriate.

Representing client needs

*Represent the clients' best interests in all parts of their process. Communicate client nuances and requests to the operational teams to ensure a smooth end-to-end process.
*Chair internal kick off and wash up meetings with the multi-disciplinary teams. Ensure learnings are captured and best practise is shared amongst the other Agency Leads.
*Consolidate and share industry/agency observations and insights with fellow Agency Leads, Reporting Analysts and Consultants to contribute towards a collective industry perspective and point of view.
*Edit and quality assure all agency presentations accordingly to ensure agency priorities are captured.
*Conduct bespoke agency analysis as necessary (with the understanding that insights and analysis expertise resides in the reporting centre of excellence).
*Proactively consider what might improve their offering.


*Track the agency financials as required including but not limited to income forecasts and targets.
*Keep tabs on account profitability
*Work to understand the commercials for your accounts, taking responsibility for good servicing levels.
*Develop the back-up detail needed for the finance team to create an invoice (and where appropriate issue invoices for all paid work).
*Understand the commercial challenges and opportunities facing the industry and your agencies to support the consultant in broader conversations.
*Depending on experience and skillset you may be involved in or support contract renegotiation processes, ensuring necessary details are captured and agreed.

New business

*Contribute to the development of new business by providing high quality service to clients, to encourage referrals. Actively follow up opportunities to add new accounts.
*Start to build own network of agency contacts for future partnerships. Track agency contacts who leave and may represent prospecting opportunities in new roles.
*Track new business prospects and support Consultants with credentials presentations and in new business meetings as appropriate.
*Support New Product Development to enhance or add to existing revenue streams.
*Be the thought provocateur with the insights team to help them create new insight on your agencies.
