Recent ‘Agency of the Year’ seeks an Account Manager to work on a marque automotive account.

The role will suit an Account Manager looking for a new and exciting challenge or a switched on Senior Account Executive looking to take a step up.

The account and role

This car brand is a growing and innovative brand in the ever evolving automotive sector. They were founded in 1895 and have grown to an eight car portfolio and have recently won a number of WhatCar? awards.

They are a brand who are driven by something different which is demonstrated in how they started (making bikes not cars), their car designs, car innovations, their brand ambassador and by the people who choose to drive them.

The agency’s main role is to provide marketing and data strategy, creative and implementation for their CRM programmes, working closely with the ATL agency, social agency, website agency, media agency and database agency.

The CRM landscape is changing with technology and digital being core drivers in understanding consumer behaviour – the client fully comprehends the opportunity that this offers, and looks to the agency as the experts to help them along the way.

The Account Manager would be expected to work day-to-day on the deployment of key email and DM campaigns, as well as maintain inter-agency relationships with the wider integrated team. The role reports directly to an Account Director.

What type of work do they deliver?

  • Customer journey planning and CRM solutions
  • Data strategy
  • Email, DM and SMS comms
  • Creative work along the entire consumer journey – ranging from big conceptual briefs, to more executional briefs covering newsletters and established programmes
  • Product launch creative

Reporting & Context

The agency’s communications are primarily direct mail and email; however as the lead BTL strategist, they also work on strategy-only projects and have a stake in bigger brand briefs.

This is a key hire for the team and the opportunity is to work across a mix of CRM communications ranging from a complex BAU programmes consisting of DM and email, through to integrated and tactical DM and email campaigns for car launches and events.

The successful candidate will be someone who is comfortable talking in a group, and confident in articulating updates to the wider agency team. On top of that they’re someone who’s intelligent, has strength of character, is resilient, proactive and likeable!

The role and what’s required to do it well

The role will suit an Account Manager looking for a new and exciting challenge or a switched on Senior Account Executive looking to take a step up. You will have proven direct and digital marketing experience and enjoy working in a high paced and energetic environment. An avid interest in cars is not essential but preferred.

This person must also be able to manage and build strong relationships with clients.

A self-starter, you are also someone who is comfortable working autonomously, using your initiative, and working as part of a large team.
