Account Director (Sports) – Integrated London Agency – Central London – to £60k

Fabulous creatively driven integrated marketing communications agency seek a talented (Senior) Account Director to oversee a sports related account.

The Account

The account is relatively new to agency (c 8 months) so you have a big opportunity to shape it. It has, however, already become one of their flagship pieces of business.

The team are driven and motivated to make this one of the ‘best creative’ accounts the agency has – they are passionate about that happening.

The account is integrated but currently the focus is on direct response. It can be fast paced at times and projects often demand a quick turnaround.

It’s about 65% DR vs 35% brand identity / other digital projects. TV is earmarked for the imminent future.

Typical direct response campaigns cover acquisition and CRM (eCRM) in the main.

The account itself is pan-European with leadership out of London.

The (Senior) Account Director Required

The agency don’t have the Senior Account Director title but they are looking for an Account Director at the senior end which is reflected in the salary (to £60k).

The ideal Account Director will be passionate about sport – anyone with any similar account experience would be welcomed but this isn’t essential.

You need to be a self-starter who likes to run teams and enjoys a fast paced environment. You will be delivering TTL campaigns including direct response, social and awareness media and have a natural inquisitiveness about new channels and technology.

Strong digital acquisition skills are a distinct advantage as a large chunk of the work is currently in this area.

You also need to be passionate about creativity and finding ways to optimise and improve campaigns.

A natural team player, you are also comfortable working hand in glove with their media counterpart on the account.

You will be responsible for shaping and delivering campaigns together and helping ensure the brand shows up consistently whether the agency are promoting tennis, football, cycling or any other sporting event.

You will have a team beneath you consisting of an Account Manager and Account Executive and you will be responsible for actively training and mentoring them both.
